This is literally home ….. Hey guys, happy new month. I hope everyone is keeping up with their new year resolutions? Don’t give up on those dreams darlings, they matter and are valid,
Anyway, I’ve been away in Nigeria for a couple of weeks now and I’ve spent the most time in Lagos. Lagos is the biggest urban city in Nigeria. With a large population and lots of activities, the city never sleeps. It’s a really beautiful city.
WHAT I AM WEARING
About a week ago, I had the opportunity to visit my hometown, Ibadan. This was where I was born and grew up for most of my life. Ibadan really is my happy place. This trip to Ibadan brought back so many nostalgic feelings. It is the best city in the world. Lol.
Omg guys, I haven’t been back since I left Nigeria. I saw my family, my close friends, cousins and visited different places and people, also felt different emotions going back home. I couldn’t help but be thankful to God, He took me from the slump and he’s molding me into something really beautiful I must say.
Well, today’s look/shoot was inspired by my environment, I had the opportunity to shoot in different parts of Ibadan. My goal is to showcase the beauty of Nigeria in different ways (this is just one of many looks in different beautiful and scenic places). The shots were taken at the eleyele river, a beautiful yet local spot in Ibadan Nigeria. We rented a boat and one of the fisher men came on the boat with us.
I was really skeptical about going further from the bank of the river but I eventually stomached the courage. Even though I can swim I did not want to put my photographers at risk just incase an accident happened (which didn’t by the way). For my look, I imagined PEACE going into this shoot, so I decided to go with a very free/oversized blouse and skirt and different shades of nudes colors.
I hope you love and enjoy the creativity and scenic nature of these images. Thanks for stopping by the blog today, don’t forget to check out my YouTube channel. Xoxo
