London Diaries: Day 2, 3, and 4

Day 2: Rainy Adventures and Hidden Gems

So, nobody thought to warn me about London’s unpredictable weather? Y’all mentioned bag snatching but forgot to say, “Sugar, grab an umbrella, and maybe skip the sew-in!” Anyway, the rain didn’t stop my show.

We started at Portobello Road Market, famous for its vintage items, but honestly, the rain killed my shopping vibe. Not a fan of walking around in wet weather! Next, we stopped by the Notting Hill colorful homes, and let me just say—those photos? Chef’s kiss! After grabbing lunch, we moved on to Oxford Street, where the Christmas decorations were absolutely stunning—so magical.

For dinner, we headed to Macellaio. When I tell you this place had the best steak I’ve ever eaten, believe it! Then, we wrapped up the night at Bart’s Speakeasy Bar. While it wasn’t what I was expecting vibe-wise, their drinks made up for it. Overall, the day was alright—I was hoping for something better tomorrow!

Day 3: Iconic London Moments

Day 3 started with a bang: my photoshoot with Mr. Adetola! If you haven’t seen the pictures and videos on my socials yet, stop reading and go like them. Seriously.

After the shoot, we explored some of London’s most iconic spots: The London Eye, Palace of Westminster, and Buckingham Palace. But let me tell you, London had me walking for my life! Ubers here take forever to arrive and then take twice as long to drive somewhere you could’ve walked to in minutes. Still, I was determined to see these monumental places because, really, what’s the point of coming to London if you don’t?

After all that walking (and freezing in the rain), I needed something to fuel me, so we went back to Enish. This time, I had Amala and Okra. It hit the spot perfectly! Then, we ended the day at New Bond Street, where the Christmas decorations were next-level magical. Day 3? A certified banger!

Day 4: Wrapping Up in Style

It was freezing on Day 4, and honestly, I just wanted to stay in bed. (Dallas doesn’t get this cold!) But my sister insisted we stick to the itinerary, so out we went.

First stop was the British Museum. Let’s just say… it left me with mixed feelings because everything in there looked stolen. Afterward, we wandered around Soho, Covent Garden, and the charming Neal’s Yard. So cute!

For lunch, we had a reservation at Dalloway Terrace, but it was so cold that we ended up moving to The Coral Room instead. Such a beautiful spot—it was the perfect place to warm up. Later, Tolani joined us, and she immediately insisted we go to Louis Vuitton. She was hunting for a passport holder, and I wanted one too, but couldn’t find one I liked. Guess I’ll grab it at the next stop on my trip.

Our last night in London was spent at Bagatelle. Let me tell you, this place is a solid 10/10. From the food to the vibe, it was the perfect way to end the trip. I loved every single moment of this London adventure!

Until next time—can you guess my next destination?
