I HAVE BEEN ACCEPTED TO A NURSING SCHOOL
I already shared this news on my YouTube but I figured I need to tell you guys here because someone of you might not have seen it yet. Yes, I have a dream. A big one at that, bigger than me as I like to say. One of my dreams is to become a Nurse but honestly, I don’t know how it’s going to happen. Yes I know the obvious, go to college to do 2 years of pre-nursing after which I’d write either one of these professional Exams (hesi or teas) pass with required scores then apply to the nursing program.
WHAT I AM WEARING
Dress: Missguided || Demin: Zara || Belted Bag: Missguided || Shoes: Old
All this seemed pretty doable and easy when I started but as I got deeper into the program, I realized about 20% of pre-nursing students end up being accepted into nursing school the same year they applied. All of these thoughts crossed my mind when I was about to graduate from prenursing school.
Most of my friends started changing their minds from the top colleges we had planned to apply to private universities. Some of them switched from Bachelors in nursing (BSN) to associate in nursing (ADN). I have no problem with all of this considering we are all different people with different dreams but in all honesty, some of their decisions started to scare me from my dream.
I wanted to go to a university for the BscN program, nothing more nothing less. I applied to just one college of nursing, which was my first choice. I applied in January of this year for a fall 2018 acceptance. Everyone told me to apply to another college and at a point to be very honest, I also started to feel the same. I tried to keep my faith up and hoped and prayed to be accepted into the nursing school of my dream.
On the 2nd of July at about 1 am, I couldn’t sleep due to some personal issues. I decided to take a stroll to the mailbox, I opened my mailbox and find a parcel from the nursing school I had applied to. To be honest, at this point, my heart skipped a beat. I walked back into my apartment gently, dropped the parcel prayed over it and slept. The next morning I opened the parcel live on camera (watch here on my YouTube channel) and I found out I was accepted into the program.
Yes, you read that, I have been accepted into nursing school. I will be a registered nurse in a few years (RN, BSN). This is absolutely the best thing that has happened to me this year. I just want to use this medium to say a huge thank you to God for answering my prayers. I’m beyond excited that I can’t express my feeling.
So here is to all my fellow dreamers, whatever you want and wish for, hope and believe, have faith and God will show up for you. Cheers to even more amazing news.
