MUD HOUSE SHOOT IN BERE AREA OF IBADAN

Happy Wednesday lovelies. It looks and feels like I’ve been off for a while, pardon me. I just returned back to the USA and I have had too much to do. I also kinda lost inspiration to write and style for awhile too. This had to do with making sure my life outside social media looks as beautiful as what it seems behind your screens.I’m a strong believer in letting one’s success speak for them, but sometimes for that to happen we need to take breaks from some things we love.

In today’s post, my photographer and I (@ife_rex) decided to visit the interiors of Ibadan. Bere area of Ibadan, which is popularly known as the ghetto of Ibadan. Here you find mainly homeless kids, people sleeping in the bus parks and those of them with the semblance of a roof over their heads, sleep in a mud house.

In spite of this, I decided with my photographer to create magic here. There is beauty in everything only if we take the time to look deep enough.

Going into this shoot I had my reservations, I thought we were going to be exploited by the area boys but to my greatest surprise, everything was cool. The person in charge of the home we shut in was kind enough to let us shoot for free without anyone taking advantage of us.

A lot was put into shooting this creative shoot. I knew white was going to contrast with the mud house which is why I styled a white shirt with a white short. Took it up a notch by adding a fanny pack for a touch of trend.

Thanks for stopping by today. Love you and don’t forget to visit my YouTube channel.
